Am I Doing The Right (Fair?) Thing??

I put up a 7 day listing (Sunday to Sunday) on eBay for a Palestine 1 Mil Holyland Type ll token. It only had a reserve of $5 and there is one bid at that amount. So far, I have been questioned by two different individuals from Israel interested in this token wanting to know if I will close and re-list to allow them to bid (my listing is for U.S. only). One wanted to buy it outright for $200 plus shipping. And I think there is another one listed with a BIN of over $700.

Ok, so I send the present one-and-only high bidder the question of allowing me to close the listing and re-list to allow for foreign bidders. I also told him I would put a reserve of $150 on the token as it is definitely worth more then that. I left it up to him to decide what he wants to do. He has over 7600 feedbacks with 100%. Sent messages to the two Israeli bidders to keep checking with the listing to see if it changes.

Do you think I've played it fair for all involved?

I think its possible to change/adjust the original listing and open it for worldwide bidding,
    nothing wrong with that.

^ This. And if that isn't possible, it is possible to add specific buyer IDs to your exemption list. This works even if you have other settings in place to prevent bids from users of certain countries, feedback score, etc.

I've tried to alter the listing but the system won't let me. Tried to open it up for foreign bidders---no go.

In the time I was trying to do this, another bidder jumped in. The first bidder had a higher 'back' bid so he is still the high bid holder at $55. Still waiting to hear back from him.

Think it is going to be impossible to do anything but let it run its course now.

UPDATE: High bidder connected and allowed me to close and re-list with open bidding worldwide. He also wanted to buy it outright for $250. but I said I'd rather let the bidding decide who gets it. eBay ID---david4988.

Token will start at exactly 4:30P.M. PST---item number 230949676461 for a 5 day run.

The fix I was talking about is the buyer exemption list. Adding a username to that list will bypass any and all restrictions on bidders.

Yea, I know what you meant but I didn't want to exclude other foreign bidders interested in this token. So now, it will be open for bids worldwide (with THANKS to marcmoish).

I noticed in one of your item descriptions, you were confused about multiple coins having the same KM number. Those numbers are reset for each country, for example there are tons of KM #1 coins. So it's not odd that you have two KM #55 coins from different countries.

In my experience, it is best NOT to end an auction early to accept someone's fixed price offer. If they are eager enough to be making offers like that, you can bet there is interest elsewhere, and you might be leaving money on the table by accepting one offer early. Let the auction run its course and if somebody really is that interested, then let them bid like everybody else. Increased competition only makes it better for your bottom line.

I always sell worldwide. Sure, there are parts of the world I am less comfortable about shipping to, and the customs forms and added expense are a hassle, but worth it. Again, why limit yourself? In my experience, opening your listings to the whole world brings more potential bidders.
