1983 Topps Football Box Break

Not sure how I feel about this, it was my first time so wasn't sure what to expect. I'm sure some have done better some worse. I was disappointed that I didn't get a McMahon RC. Here are some of the better cards I picked out as I was opening them. The 2nd Singletary had a dent on the top white border above the S in Bears. The Marcus Allen has a bad top border, not sure if you can see it on the scan. I have no idea why I picked out the Drew Pearson, the front isn't great and the back has gum bleed on it. Should mention I bought the box from BBCE. Thoughts?

    Not sure what you mean by how you should "feel about this," but it looks like you got a few real nice cards and some tough breaks, too, iow, not much different from the typical wax box from this era.


    Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.

    That's what I meant, I had no idea what to expect so I can't really say how good or bad the box was. Am still fairly new to the opening of old wax game.

    No Montana? If I remember correctly, Montana is one of the double printed cards. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

    There was a Montana but it was off cut. I only posted the cards I thought were to be the best quality.

    I've busted a TON of 83T FB in the last 10 years, wax and cello, mostly looking for high grade Singletarys. From the looks of your scans, your box was better than average. Very tough to find these cards centered and sharp.

    I ripped a box last year and pulled 4 McMahon RC's. I'd offer one to you, but each one was more OC than the next.

    Looks like you got some decent cards though. It's always been a set I've enjoyed.
