Minimum Grade Services

Hi All,

There was a thread recently (I can't for the life of me find it now) where I thought someone alluded to one of the grading services providing a service where you can submit cards, have the grading service review the cards, and then holder it if it meets a minimum specified grade. I know that PSA does this with crossovers, but it would be sweet if they did this with raw submissions. Does PSA do this, or do any of the grading services do this for raw submissions?

Thanks!
Aaron

Is your question is the review on a raw card cheaper? If so, no, unless you are a high volume submitter. If you just want your cards graded if they are Min 9 etc I have had it done in the past, avoids breaking cases post return of cards. ...but you pay the grading fee.

My question is whether or not you can specify in your submission that the minimum grade you would like for them to holder is X. They would grade anything X or greater and then return the others back unholdered. I'm assuming the fee would be the same as if you were submitting for normal grading.

    Thanks!

Yes, I have but it was a few years ago. I put a sticky note on each card specifying my request ('Min 9 or do not slab'), as others have complained that their request when putting it on the form were not honored.

There used to be a column on the submission form titled "min grade". If you put a number there, that's what you're describing above.
