ROOKIE CARDS: Would you rather have the base card or Chrome equivilant in PSA 10?

While the Chromes are probably a bit more scarce than the base set cards, wouldn't you think they are more likely to grade a 10 than the base card due to the impervious nature of the Chromes?

I have two PSA 10 '06 Verlander RCs, a Chrome and a regular Topps. Which would you keep?

Fun fact: The base card was a raw ebay purchase for about a buck, same with a Fielder RC. Both graded 10.

2.5 is pretty much my speed.

  • I'd sell them both for a personal demonstration of finger mechanics with Kate Upton.
  • Obviously there is no wrong way to collect. If you're going to collect chrome, i would go with his 2005 Bowman Chrome. it is both autographed and his "popular" RC.
i personally would add his 2006 Flagship Topps RC to my collection.

The chrome card... And they are more prone to surface issues.
  • Chrome all the way in my opinion.
