PCGS use of oversized holders

  I think this is overkill. Storage space is critical and I find the coin to holder ratio as being excessive

  The thaler looks like a kreuzer in it. There's undeniably a need for bigger holders for certain coins, but PCGS could have used their "double coin" holder in a more creative way instead. This would have attracted more collectors and would have perhaps led into a special case for them etc.
  
  
  
  
  I like and sometimes need the 5 coin holder, but PCGS introduced it exclusively for the gold eagles sets, and I don't know if it's still in production.
  When the Q&A was still functioning, DH had replied to a member that the R&D and tests before a new holder is introduced is in the millions.
  Sometimes I wonder if TPGs are aware of how "anal" most collectors are when it comes to the presentation and storage of our coins.

  Perhaps the submitter requested and paid for an over-sized holder possibly not realizing that the coin would have fit in a standard sized holder or maybe he had other coins in over-sized holders that he wanted to include this coin with and wanted them all in the same holder.
  
  I doubt that PCGS just put it in that holder unless it was requested and the extra fee paid? They don't do it for free you know
