Question for forum oldtimers, or new member?

ajaanajaan Posts: 17,188 ✭✭✭✭✭
I am CU #3245. I forgot how I found this out. I think it had something to do with the mouse over the number of posts or something on the profile page. Anyone remember?

Mouse over the "glasses' icon ("view member profile) and look at the status bar found in your browser at the bottom of the screen.

That didn't do anything for me, except to find out that I post 100-1000 times fewer posts than many others. I usually tune in every day or so, but don't talk unless it's on Canada Vicky Large Cents or pre-1700 foreign.

    2812.

I guess those of us with four-digit profile numbers are the old guard, while the folks with three digit or lower numbers are the REALLY old guard.

You can post a new topic in US coin forum ask people for their joined date. I bet lots of people will respond. #1 might even show up.

We need to develop some protocols around here. Seeing as I am two-digit member of the Old Guard, ya'll need to be showing me a lot more deference. A lot more...image

On most forums user 1 is usually either the administrator or a test user, on this forum it happens to be the administrator. You can tell this by changing the ProfileID url parameter in the PM link. If you want to view the profile of users the link below will open a profile window to user 4, which you'll see is called "John". You can change the ProfileID=4 url parameter to any number you like.

Ah, Claw. I have three months' worth of seniority over you.

How's the OFR been treating you? I lurk there from time to time.

Well, it's a thriving metropolis compared to Frank's 24 forum. That place isn't even .24 nowadays. image

Mouse over the "glasses' icon ("view member profile) and look at the status bar found in your browser at the bottom of the screen.

I have done this several times on mine as well as others and still get nothing but the symbol for my being on line. What gives?
