Very pretty. Israel commems, especially those before 1970, are a fav of mine and the toning is on these really enhance the coins. The packaging of the early issues seems to have contained PVC and a lot of the coins are ruined. Good that someone seems to have rescued these just in time. Congrats!

Altho I'm not crazy about NCLT issues, this is one of favs. Wish it had the same toning as your Herzl tho.

I agree seafaring is one of the nicer ones. All I collect from Israeli coins is the early statehood set in my sigline.

I have a question about the 5 Lirot I have the same coin...but I dont have a what I think is a MM below the denomination(as shown in Krause)

I too am a fan of these, great designs that a simple and have nice flow to them.

I don't collect them but if I recall the "mem" is a MM for proof.

I was first turned on to the Israeli commems in the early 1970's. They were "hot" back then, and I paid $35 for the 1967 Eilat coin. Of course, after I'd purchased several coins in the series, the prices dropped precipitously, and I was later able to find the common dates for $12-$15. The toner below was one of that group.

Is that a typo on the label of the Regency holder, or does "Speciman" refer to something other than "specimen"?

I honestly don't know for sure but I do remember reading here on the light side about that and I think it was a typo
