2 newps, help ID ancient please

There's a shop I go to that doesn't know or care about anything darkside. Anything interesting I see, I buy because the price is always right. I've ID'd the 1603 1/4 Thaler but don't know the value. The ancient I am just lost; any guidance or info will be greatly appreciated.image

The Parthia is a drachm of ARTABANUS II who reigned AD 10-38. These can be readily had in XF or better condition, so I'd swag a reatil of maybe $35-40. Still an interesting and historic coin.

Here's a link where you can find out more about your Artabanus and coin. It seems to be a Sellwood 63. linky

The ancient is a Parthian Kingdom piece.

The ancient is Parthian, probably Artabanus.

image I really enjoy this series, altho frankly still have problems identifying a lot/most of the varieties without a reference handy. I fun series that is very collector friendly and provides a ton of value for the money.

  • Only spent $10 for it and $20 on the Saxony 1/4 Thaler so I'm quite pleased.
Thanks for the quick and informative responses; you guys are great.
