1971 Topps Thurman Munson PSA 8.5 ??

For a POP 1 card does this look like a PSA 8.5 with the obvious diamond cut?? Not in my opinion. Personally I've seen 7.5's and 8's that look better. Even a few 7's. Not really sure what the grader was thinking on this one.

I wouldn't have given the .5; but I can live with the grade.

As a former owner of this card, I happen to have a high res scan that I can share here. It does have a very slight tilt
moving up from left to right but otherwise it was a very sharp card!

Were it not for the kindness of Thunderdan allowing me to upgrade to a 9 I'd still be very pleased owning the 8.5.

i'd be ecstatic if it came back that grade, thinking that an 8 would be absolute tops for the card. Lower left corner looks a bit soft as well. Still a really nice card but the tilt is rather notceable imo..

IMO that card seems to be pretty nice and the tilt is not offensive to the eyes.
Looking for high grade rookie cards and unopened boxes/cases
