Vatican/Papal Question 2012 annual medal

Has anyone seen the annual medal issue for 2012? Its almost September but I've not seen anything yet on the "usual suspects" sites.

Thx Joe for the ping back. The medal is the proof set has been replaced by a 10 euro coin so that's also not of interest this year. Just wanted to be sure that I'd not missed anything obvious...

I find that to be an expensive proof set. I did not order it this year.

Yes, the proof sets have been a challenge since they're limited mintage and extremely high demand. The only reason I've been buying them was they they included a silver medal, sometimes also available in a large, gilt version. Since they've replaced the medal with a coin this year I don't have to chase down a set and am focussing on the separately issued annual medal instead.

I'm still working on a set of annuals in silver, 1800 to date. I need about 20 medals, mostly Pius VII, and most of the Camerlingo Sede Vacante silvers of the 19th century as well. I always start getting anxious about mid year and begin scratching around for the current year's medal for my set. Nothing on the vatican, Jencius nor ebay.it re the 2012 medal (in any metal) which is kinda unusual this late in the summer so the search continues......
