What do you think about this coin? (1 Florin)
I like the design of this coin. The obverse is pretty much one of the best I've ever seen. The detail in the jewels/hair/dress is stunning. The reverse is a little different... As far as I'm concerned the color on this Florin is just right. With that being said I've never purchased a Florin so I'm not sure about a fair price. Also I'd like to know the size of the coin in comparison to u.s. series.

Well, just Love coins, period.
As for size: 27mm, or a shave larger than an inch in old-speak; in between a US quarter and US half-dollar. Silver content is 0.3364 ounces, not quite as much as a half-dollar. The fineness is .925 (sterling).

Most coins look worse in worn condition. British Queen Victoria silver is a noteworthy exception, in my opinion.

Apparently I have been awarded the DPOTD twice.
I have one like this for sale on the BST in my link, if you don't get that one. It is a nice Honest coin with typical wear and scratches for an XF. $150, that's $25 off the price in the link. Both pictures are of the same coin. Different light angles.
This is another of my favorite Portraits on metal by W Wyon.

That having been said, these Gothics are wonderful coins.
