Fast poppage once again

I have been really happy with the PSA turns recently. This one logged right before the Memorial Dav weekend and popped right after.

Man, they are yough on the 1976s. They do seem to be made out of some really low quality cardboard though.

Not sure what I missed on that Mattingly.

Must be nice to get fast poppage. What service level did you pay for? And did it get logged in right after it was received or was there a 2 week delay?

Got the $8 20-day turnaround May Special. Logged 2 days after date I mailed it. Popped about 3 biz days later!

Did you mark your box "20-Day Special"? Most people ignore this request, and those are probably the same people who complain about loggage/turnaround times.

Thats crazy fast considering all of the delays right now. I'm still waiting on a 10 card/$10/10 day May special that was received by PSA on may 7th, logged may 22nd, and still no poppage on it. My 10 cards were a mix of football and baseball, 1940s-1980s. Maybe the mixture is a reason for the delay. I would love to hear a reason from PSA why your order was logged and graded before mine when my order was received 2 1/2 weeks earlier with a 10 day faster service level. Mine was marked 10 day too.

I mark all around the box: "CC Special #___". I use my own FedEx account to ship and for return shipping. I always put the cards in chronological/brand order. And usually I will include long runs of certain years. Not a lot of variety. Last few pops have been extremely fast.

Glad you got quick poppage but sure looks like a waste of about $200.

Actually worth more than double the grading fees. Wouldn't be worth much without the grades. An Eck in 8 is nice. The Dan Ford is a low pop with VCP showing $100-260. The 1970 Scholifeld in a 9 is up there too.

Although it would have been nice to get a few more 9s and a few less 8s.

The 1976 Fuentes and Mayberry each one grade higher would have been a nice boost. Did not account for the harshness of the 1976 grading.

So the grading fees - no, not a waste of money. Now, ripping the 1976 packs the cards came out of - yes, big waste of money!

Ford is a beast to find in Mint 9. That card alone will pay for your sub, imo..

Thanks all. If anyone wants to see a pic of the raw Dan Ford, it is on the Ripping 76s thread.

Nice job on the sub and especially the Ford. They are definitely tough on the 76's as my recent subs can attest. You can see the grades in my thread about the dealer inventory I purchased. For '76s, aside from centering (including tilt), keep an eye out for surface bubbles and print snow. Even a few white specs on a dark background photo can downgrade you to an 8.
