OT: MCA dead at 47

I've enjoyed the Beastie Boys for years. Sad news today to hear that Adam Yauch (MCA) passed away from cancer. Cancer sucks.

You don't have to convince me of that!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
And I think everyone is in agreement on Cancer. You would think we'd have made more progress by now.
But I have promises to keep,

Collecting:
Any unopened Baseball cello and rack packs and boxes from the 1970's and early 1980s.
I sip the fine ale with all the fly women.
RIP to one of the men who provided the soundtrack to my youth.

Gone far too soon

I played pick up hoops once with Adam Y and Mike D in front of my apt in TriBeCa. Was me and Adam vs Mike D. and my buddy. He was so cool and mellow in person. Sad. Too soon.

Saw them at Lollapollza in 1994 and I hear what you are saying about the "contact high". Lol
It was a great show. I remember seeing the video for She's On It and thought they were awesome. That was before Licensed To Ill even came out. Great band!

It was a great bill here in Milwaukee. The Breeders, Luscious Jackson, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, L7, Beastie Boys, Smashing Pumpkins. Great memories!
