OT: MCA dead at 47

I've enjoyed the Beastie Boys for years. Sad news today to hear that Adam Yauch (MCA) passed away from cancer. Cancer sucks.

Yes, this is very sad. At least he knew they made the HOF before he passed. Let's hear it for Brooklyn!!!

And I think everyone is in agreement on Cancer. You would think we'd have made more progress by now. image

    Word to hair mousse.

I played pick up hoops once with Adam Y and Mike D in front of my apt in TriBeCa. Was me and Adam vs Mike D. and my buddy. He was so cool and mellow in person. Sad. Too soon.

Any group that can put baseball legend Sadahaura Oh in a line is OK in my book. The boys are a rapping icon.

Saw them at Lollapollza in 1994 and I hear what you are saying about the "contact high". Lol image
It was a great show. I remember seeing the video for She's On It and thought they were awesome. That was before Licensed To Ill even came out. Great band!

It was a great bill here in Milwaukee. The Breeders, Luscious Jackson, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, L7, Beastie Boys, Smashing Pumpkins. Great memories!

On the Yankee game Friday night, Michael Kay made a reference to MCA. (At least I think he did it on purpose) After Derek Jeter got a hit he told the viewers that he now has more hits than Sadahaura O.
