I like it when an eBay purchase is better than expected!

I decided to start on the 1974 Topps Set.
I do my 70s Topps Sets in somewhere around EXish.... I'm not especially picky.
To kick start the project, I decided to get a few larger lots from eBay. If I can get out of the door at 10 cents a card, I'm happy.
So, I see an auction titled "1974 Topps BaseBall Cards One Lot OF Over 400 Cards"
The description is this:
<< <i>This is for all 400 plus cards. I usually do not deal in cards but my neighbor was moving and gave me his entire collection. In my non-expert opinion the cards are in very good condition. their may be a few with creases and some corners may not be as straight or lay flat as you would like them to be but that would be at the very most 10% of them. Please do not Nit-pick. If you like what you see then bid. If your not sure about the quality or accuracy of my description then please refrain or ask questions before you bid. >>
And these are the pictures I had to work with:

Well, I spent the $40..... and they came in today.
While they weren't perfect, there were few duplicates, and a few stars.... all in pretty good shape.
Here are some scans:

I even got a bonus 1973 Santo.
Oh..... and these two were in the box as well:

I was pretty happy with the way it turned out.
The downside? I passed on another 400 card '74 lot and a '73 lot from this same seller, at a similar price.

T206 Set - 300/524
Sweet Carew card
Great pickups
I'm really kicking myself for not buying his other lot of '74s.
Only an idiot would have a message board signature.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
