Personally I would have loved the obverse to have the same toning as the reverse
Going to let it soak in acetone for a bit. See if any of the obverse grime comes off. Something tells me this one spent quite a bit of time obverse side up.
Here's a comparison after a few hours in acetone. I didn't even have to go over it with a q-tip except for a small spot of verdigris around the 7 in the date. This was probably the first time ever an organic solvent was used on this coin.
