Has anyone seen anything like this? Seems reasonably priced too.
Autographed with COA from PSA.

Wow, hide this before that guy that cuts up the Star cards from basketball sees it... BGS will grade a cut card in some cases so this is a scary listing to me.
Note that the COA is numbered "SAMPLE".
Pretty cool piece, but I'd prefer if he hadn't signed it.
I agree with swish54 and believe that the piece (if it's real) has been devalued having Ryan's signature on it.

I could live with a small autograph on one card, but the large autograph ruins it for me.

A very neat piece, but yeah same here - I'd prefer it to not be signed. Side note: A friend of mine took a psa authenticated signed Ryan rookie and had Ryan sign again - on the case! Wild, huh?
I thought you all were crazy, then I clicked on the link, and yes, I agree. The autograph definitely detracts from the item.

i was picturing in my mind the only way that an autograph could detract from the sheet...click...yep!....sheez..I agree
He does have some other cool stuff.
I guess I am in the minority. I love the autograph.
What is a proof sheet? Are they generally as good quality as the final printed cards?
I was thinking the same thing Donato.
The minute I saw it, I was disappointed by the sig but also, they allowed the framer to "clip" a bit too much off the card also.
So, not a fan.
That's a good question.
I've seen proof sheets with both sides printed and some with blank backs.
It's the final chance for the printer to check the product for defects/mistakes in the process - one could "proof" for anything and everything - misspellings, reverse negatives etc.
I would say the key thing they would be looking for is the "alignment" of the printing plates dealing with different colors to insure a "good registration" - everyone has had - at some time - a card that looks like there's a ghost image a mm away from the main image.
Now individual proofs can be anything from "color separations" to mylar laminates to match print proofs - these would be proofs of "individual" cards - their portraits (usually photos) - and in this phase they could address individual errors in the production of that particular card.
Color separation by mylar color sheets:
Match print proof - these are top quality photo proofs used in selection of the pics to go on cards - this is from the 73T card.
Besides sheets, they do proofs in small batches - not sure how these were specifically used in the selection/quality assurance process?
can't find my favorite - a 3 card proof with the 52T Mantle (reprint set)?
And just for fun - here's a 69T wrapper proof:
And last from my new room - you can see some proof sheets on the wall - the 76T (no Eck tho) and the other is a 83T with Ryno.
I'm not an expert on this stuff - so I will not want what I've said to stand up in court - but it's close.
You get Jim Fregosi on the sheet too. Spooky.
Judging from Lou Johnsons' expression, he's not cool with having such
a large auto dominating the sheet.
My first thoughts were the same as most here. Sometimes bigger isn't always better. Maybe a nice, small, blue sharpie autograph under Ryan's image would've been OK.
As the OP mentioned, it is not ridiculously overpriced, so it has that going for it.
