TRADE: Kyrie Irving for Isaiah Thomas...WOW!!...Whose RC increases whose RC decreases?...Massive!!
This qualifies to be in this forum under cards a bit but def under memorabilia. But I'm really interested in your guys' opinions. The other Sports Forum barely showing signs of life and thready at best....see what i did there?..." thready "....get it? ....never mind I'm in mood....And besides their RC's their memorabilia may be affected....A legit Lebron game used jersey is impossible to get...Any know of the guy that literally buys up ALL of the NBA game-used jerseys as they are presented on the NBA's website? Its crazy. Figured he's spending $2-$300,000 per year. Cash only homey...Now thats an interesting discussion if anyone would like to continue on that. Very interesting. All of them-Lebron, Harding, Westbrook, Curry, Durant...You get the idea...
Anyways, which team wins with this trade and does this help Lebron win one vs just getting there?...Cleveland didn't have much of a choice with an unhappy Kyrie demanding a trade....I see a guy like Isaiah who's 5'8" at best has to be running at maximum RPM's to compete and any injury that decreases his production by 10, 15% seriously hampers his ability to compete against guys a foot taller. He can't coast into his 30's and rely on any raw physical talent to extend his NBA days.
Im not sure where their RC are in value or how this affects them. Any Boston area guys here to chime in? I'm interested to see how this is going over. Is his "memorabilia" being burned in effigy???? I would think Isaiah cards are at maximum value already but i could be way off on that. Hmmm
If this helps Lebron get another title then the discussions start back up how he compares to Jordan....He doesn't!!....And therefore his " memorabilia " doesn't move much or does it? Lebron fans? I still think he's gone after this year whether he wins another or not. They also get the Nets 1st rd pick in '18 in a loaded draft.--should be a top 5 pick.......Doesn't affect Lebron IMHO.
...I got one of his game used jerseys but didnt buy it for investment purposes....Just cause its cool....And i was in a mood..Ha...Anyone remember when the NBA wore jerseys with their nicknames?...His was "King James"...wore it in 6 games. And ESPN still showing highlights of them and has a short "30 for 30" that Spike Lee did. Some really interesting nick-names and I havent seen any of the legit gamers come back up for auction. You?
Thoughts guys??..i was just blown away by this trade and am sure it will be the talk of the sports shows tomorrow.
.......(Oh, BTW in other breaking news..John Bone Jones tested positive for cocaine and may affect his title belt....whaaat? No!! Not Jones...He said he was done with that habit. Got to be a false positive.)

Coming from a Celtics fan,i think this deal comes down to Kyrie Irving for that Nets 2018 pick. I loved what Isaiah Thomas did in Boston but he's looking for a Max deal next offseason and I'd be really surprised if Cleveland gives him an extension. When asked about his impending free agency a few months ago his exact words were "they better back up the Brinks truck."
Danny Ainge trading Thomas was a sign they didn't want to give him 30M a year and having to give up that potential top 3 Nets pick must have been a huge decision for him.
I honestly can't even tell you what years their rookie cards are in but i would think Kyrie's has better longterm investment. I think he's the better player of the 2 and with Brad Stevens coaching him hopefully he gets even better. It does suck to see Isaiah go though,he won me over this past season. That guy is all heart.
