It's not bad once you get used to it. The old one is not coming back, regardless, so no use complaining about it.

Not sure why we have to use HTML to write messages properly but oh well. Maybe they can fix that in time. Still don't see the preview option when responding to a post.
I vote bad...bring back the old one. If its not broken, don't fix it!
I was very much used to the old format.
Jackie came on and said the old format had to go - it could no longer get updates much like windows xp - so they had no choice but to pick up a new format.
I'm getting used to this one and I got to update my own icon.
Yeah, it's just that for my entire adult life - to go to the next line I would press the "enter" button. Sometimes it said "return." Often times the button would say both "enter" and "return" as not to confuse even those whom it was very difficult to confuse. I understand that the new method of creating paragraphs and lists (which... let's be honest... are both outdated relics of a by gone era when people communicated not through telepathy and sensed emotion, but through speech and written forms of the same languages) is much more streamlined.
I don't have any issues with paragraphs. Just press enter
and type more, but I do have problems with the search function timing out, which wasn't an issue for me previously.

Seriously though, love the forum, but the paragraph issue will be a deal breaker for me over time.
What problem are you having Casey?
Side note here - I really like the way the "Quote" graphics work next to the old format - much easier to read and the way it "highlights" itself is really nice.

We should not have to use HTML to format text on the forum.
From what others have said, using Quick Reply instead of Reply formats paragraphs correctly without needing to add HTML. If you want to insert pictures with paragraphs, I don't think there's any way around it currently.

I believe you can adjust that to the color of your choosing.......

That was the first thing I did. I prefer the old color schemes but the new ones will grow on me.

In the upper right of the page you're on, click on "Profile".
About a third of the way down from the top of that page, you'll see two tabs next to each other.
One says "Profile" (that's the one you're already on) and next to it is one named "Personal Options".
Click on that.
Before you scroll down at all on that page, look toward the bottom of your screen and you'll see "Color Themes".
Next to that there's a drop-down box. Drop it down.
Choose a color you think you'd like (I chose "Green Grass").
Scroll down to the bottom of the page, find a button named "Update Profile".
Click it.
That's it. If you decide you don't like the new color you picked, do these steps over again.

So if I update my profile to fix the time zone is it gonna torch my avatar again?
I've had to update my profile (including TZ) several times with no avatar issues since the upgrade.
I just realized today my favorite part of the upgrade, no flashing ads!
