74 Cello Now on Ebay - Concensus Opinions?

74_Cello???

Wrapper - Correct code
Tightness - Very tight
Seals - Don't love them, and the white "grains" inside are unusual
Players Showing - Both Schmidt 2nd Yr AND Parker RC showing in the same pack?????
Seller - Feedback of 2

Not getting a warm and fuzzy feeling on this one

Anyone else want to share their observations on this one?

Don't care for it or the others up for sale. Also, gum in a 74 cello should be positioned much closer to top of the pack, not the middle.

If it's a reseal, that's scary good. The print across the folds is aligned perfectly.

There are some positives but not convinced. Somthing seems off. Gut feeling. If it is bad, boy these "criminals" are getting better.

i believe all the cellos he has listed are bad and the odds of having these stars on top make no sense so the guy has psa graded cards for sale aarons etc but would not send in packs with stars on top and back...just doesnt seem right ....just my take

Looking at his other items for sale, I took a look at the PSA 8 OPC Lemieux he has for sale and something about the flip strikes me as odd. The cert checks out, but I don't think I have seen one where it was it was not entirely printed correctly.

    PSA 8 Lemieux

Edit: I will give him this, the Lemieux and Topps Gretzky Rookie that he has already sold have consecutive cert #'s

I am no expert, but I have seen those white grains in other packs. I only have a few psa graded cellos and 1 of them has the "what appears to be sand" in there.

and if it is indeed a scam, then at least there's a partial pic of the guy in the lemeiux case.

all those cards are old flips way before psa started grading packs. not saying they are legit but saying that I probably wouldn't hold it against him for grading the cards and not the cellos

Why doesn't the seller show a photo of the side with the fold lines? That's more interesting to me than the position of the gum.

Position of the gum (like gum size) is very telling, though, as Topps positioned the gum after a certain number of cards up through 1975 to reflect sheet sequencing and total card count in the pack. Fold lines are significant, also, but we've all seen legit packs with sloppy corner folds, too.

I've seen this grit in perfectly good cello packs too. I figure it's just the gum
drying up and flaking over time.

I've never opened one up and tasted the flakes to verify my hypothesis though.
