Lincoln Cents Basic Set, Colorless Circulation Strikes (1909-1958)

Forcusing on RB and BN only. Looking forward to the day our host decides to either change the set name; perhaps to Lincoln Cents Basic Set, No Color Bonus Circulation Strikes (1909-1958) or Lincoln Cents Basic Set, No Red Cents Circulation Strikes (1909-1958), or maybe establishing individual sets for RB and BN. Just a thought.

I've collected a lot of RD coins over the years. Thought it might be nice to switch gears a little and forcus on RB and BN. There are some really nice Lincolns out there in those colors. I'm not after the "rainbows". As a matter of fact, I wouldn't pay what they're asking for those coins. Nice MS Lincolns in common RB/BN colors are good enough for me.

140 Lincolns in the set. 20 down, 120 to go.

Good choice. In fact my original set was 63 R&B. I like the antiquity that grade/color gives. Good luck on your search!

Agreed, it seems awfully bias [against Lincolns] to describe the set as "colorless" :-/

I applaud your new pursuit. I will not place any RD Lincoln's in my "colorless" sets. See sig line..... Enjoy the hunt!

That is my main focus also.

I tried to get PCGS to start a 1934-1958 BN/RB set, reply was, there is enough Lincoln registry sets already.

Good luck on that new set!!

I too have voiced a request.

My thought... removing RD from Colorless Sets adds no additional sets. There are already "enough Lincoln Registry Sets" for RD Lincolns. Issue solved. Just saying.

    Dan...
I agree, that is a great idea, if only PCGS would agree. BN/RB is an expanding market, reason you see some selling for "Moon Money" and a few "Over the Moon Money".

A eye appealing 63 RB set would be very tough, and very awesome!
