Even if it weren't in such a focal point on the coin (like the fields), it's still a pretty deep hit, and shouldn't be in a numerically-graded holder. IMHO.

Damage to obv center of a half dollar I'd say BB 99% of the time. And even if you got the 1 out of 100 score, no buyer in their right mind would give you VF/XF money for the coin.
Sure is ashamed about the gouge as it really has that nice circ cam look.
