How long does Teletrade take to pay sellers now? Is it still 3-4 months?

<< <i>Hey Pharmer any eBay links? >>
I was looking around ebay Friday night....saw something interesting from the preview pic that my search had picked up, clicked, and, like I always do, went to the seller first.....
Saw it was pharmer...duffydaddy....and backed out without bidding knowing that, likely no matter what my bid was (which would have been quite a bit max over the current visible bid), the auction would likely be ended before it closed. Homey don't play that game (he did that to me once before a few years back), so I ignored the auction and moved on.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

The auction was on 4/29 and the check is supposed to be mailed on 5/29.

<< <i>Not a word of that is true, Ron. Can't be. You've been blocked even longer than the coin doctor above you has been. >>
Since I don't know you would you be willing to give me a heads up on what I would have to say to throw more fuel on this fire and really start a cat fight please?

I am teasing, but clearly there is bad blood around these parts.
<< <i>38 days I believe ... about a week shorter than most of the major auction houses.

Not quite.

Is it possible to block someone from looking or just from bidding?
And those "super" consignors who give them a lot of consignment material may even get something special from one of their models at the conventions they attend, a kiss or even a date if you are not too bad looking.

Payment is mailed within 36 days after the auction to
consignors. The scheduled payment date is given by the Customer
Service System (800-332-5040 Option5).
I don't know how that is affected by guaranteed sold program, etc. The only 2 times I consigned, I just put em up and let em go. I did not break even either time.

That is a Very Long Time to wait for your money. Is that the norm with the big time auction sites?
I've only used Great Collections and got my money in 10 day to 2 weeks. I never loss money on any
coin they have sold for me.

You've got to reserve them or they get ripped. This is a lesson I have learned the hard way. Some people swear by ebay, but their over-promoted listings turn me off. Too much snake oil salemanship as I have seen with the raw coin crowd who love to peddle their overgraded or ungradeable "rare" coins for unreasonable prices.
Since Spectrum owns the company, they may bid on your coins if they have a market for them. Most consignors get worn down when lots do not sell--you just have to ask them to keep running them until they sell above your cost.

Except who wants to keep paying the reserve fee and throwing good money after bad? If it gets relisted 3 times and doesn't sell do you pay the buyback fee each time?3
I've seen it work both ways. I had a couple I watched get listed 3 times each and I was fortunate to get them the 3rd time for half or less than what I would have paid had I bought the first time.

I don't think that is THAT long to have to wait unless one is desperate for the money. I don't think GC was yet a going concern when I consigned to TT.

Well, it is 100% true...didn't say I tried to bid, said I saw it was you and I backed out of the auction with my browser right quickly.
I guess that, in addition to your questionable "ethics" in how you handle your ebay auctions (ie....starting then canceling them when the bids don't reach whatever level you believe you want), you have reading comprehension issues....note that, unlike your post, mine wasn't edited and I never said I bid...I said I backed away without bidding.
I am ok being blocked (haven't known that before you posted it, but fine that I am) and, there was a time I wasn't blocked because I know that I bid on your auctions and saw them ended before fruition.
I have no bones to pick with you, other than how you handle your auctions that way, and I have no desire to make anything up. I state the truth. Maybe it was 3 years maybe it was 4...maybe 5...I don't remember the year, but I remember what happened and then saw it repeated over and over with others on the boards here.
You have a, well deserved, reputation for how you handle your ebay auctions for coins.
