My friend at work had a brother pass away two weeks ago. He had children 10 8 5 & 2 years old ! Gonna raffle off a 2012 ASE Proof . Everything going to the spouce . Might this be acceptable ?

I'd be inclined to say an "auction" and putting it on the BST would be acceptable, putting it on the US Coin Forum may rub a few the wrong way if your friend's brother had no connection to the board.
