This week's action, with the much delayed South American piece from a ProMiNent Metals dealer that will remain nameless.

Glad to have my local guy back from his heart attack/bypass.

Oooh. What is that 5 peso piece?

This week's mini-haul. Paid $25 each for the dollars and cherrypicked the toned Sunshine bar at melt out of dozen boring untoned ones.

That patch is really neat. Was it some kind of giveaway when you bought a bar from them? Not sure I'd want to put that patch on my jacket and let the whole world know that I buy silver bars.

Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

PerryHall, I just got it off ebay a few days ago and it arrived today. I paid $25. Maybe it was too much but I had never seen one before.

It definitely won't go on a jacket as I take pains to keep my stacking habit little known.

The seller said they were sold only at the Mid America Coin Expo in 2007 and that only 100 were made. That is, I believe, after Engelhard got out of the silver business. I asked the seller for more info. Hopefully I will learn more.

There's a good chance it was melted a long time ago by a manufaturer that uses silver---electronics, silverware, jewelry, etc.

It kinda breaks my heart a little to see the hole in that 1845..

Right? Almost 170 years old and a mintage of only 91,054. Imagine the history behind that piece.

I thought the diamond was a cool touch. It's not mounted yet and I may not do it. But I like the idea and I like the option.

I'm just glad it didn't have a little "C" or "D" on it.

    Cool diamond plug.

    Picked up a looot today!

    Kilo bars
    image

Three old pour Engelhards, ten fairly ugly toned JM bars (not as ugly as the pic makes them look though)
    image

But that's not all! 4 oz Engelhard poured bar. And three 1 oz JM poured bars!

Can't find one at a decent price! Does it have a mirror finish too?

Speaking of 10 ozers, does anybody own the shiny one from Perth Mint?
