If anyone has PCGS MS-69, or PCGS PR-69 Platinum Eagles, I am seeking specific denominations & dates for my set. I'll pay market prices based on some combination of recent auction results, PCGS Price Guide & my own ebay data tracking.

I prefer coins that are good for the grade, in slabs that aren't too beat up. I'll consider 70 grades in some cases (the lower premium "common" dates). I need mostly the pre-2003 coins, but ask me anyway if you have some Plats you are selling.

Just thought I'd give you folks a heads up on some of my bars being handled by Aethelred. Some of my very best bars will be sold by him over the next few months...so please keep an eye on his ebay store. I will not update this thread with each rarity listed.


First off, he has some Valcambi Suisse 1 oz. bars, which are relatively newer issues. He will have more older and scarce ones too, from Valcambi, PAMP (including some very rare sets), Vatican City, Argor, Johnson Matthey, etc. Here is a true rarity:

1852, VF, luster in protected areas, some hairlines in fields, but appear to be from circulation, $295.

Exceedingly rare 1981 Bunker Hill Noah Kellogg limited edition issue #1 (BH-1) 999.5 pure silver round.

I believe there were 5 coins in the series, again this is #1.

You'll find a few examples on eBay currently for $70 to $80, including the later pieces from this series.

I've seen literally thousands of silver rounds in my time, and I've never seen one as beautifully detailed, proportioned, and struck as this one. And with good reason: They were struck by the Metal Arts Co. of Rochester, NY, the same company that struck the famous Coin Designer Medal Series from the early 1960s. Not only is this indicated on the flip insert, it's edge-struck on the medal itself!

This particular piece exhibits a deep cameo look, head and shoulders above anything on eBay. What looks like dust in the photo...may actually be dust But I think it's actually metal flow. There is no wear visible on this piece at all.

Original flip with the original insert, I doubt it's ever been taken out until I took it out a second ago to photograph.

Asking $75 with $5 shipping but will consider offers.
