A quick ruundown:

We agreed to a trade, Gerald Wallace P & P for Vince Carter northern flights floor. he sent first. I recieved and immediately sent to him, transcribing his address from an address label he used.
Now, he CLAIMS the card did not arrive, a dubious claim considering that for every good reference this guy has I have 2 people telling me to avoid him like the plague. Plus he has been put on the bad trader list on TR.
So I was a bit skeptical, I have never had a card get lost in the mail. I told him to give it 30 days (like the post office requires for insurance claims) and if he didn't get anything I'd send another Carter floor. Here are excerpts of his response on IM:

This guy is not to be trusted, he's irrational, and he handles himself like a 10 year old. AVOID HIM!

This guy is now going around to chat rooms and IM'ing people he's traded with (and omically, people I've traded with) to say I am a bad trader and a scammer. I want to take this podium to reassure anyone I trade with that I will always happily provide a multitde of references, as well as access to my ebay page, in any trade.

I'll agree with ya''And to re-iterate my deal that went bad with him...I had been after a rare AI card for a long,long,long time (97'98 Skybox Prem. Emerald shoe card) I bought one from him $10 for the card $2.50 for shipping..Payed with paypal within an hour of the deal closing...Heard nothing ,got nothing..Started emailing him daily asking about the card...No replies..Kept it up for a while with no response and eventually gave up...
4 months later the card shows upit had been mailed the week prior to my getting it,So it was'nt floating around lost or anything...And after paying $2.50 s&h the card was raw no sleeve no toploader in a plain white envelope with a nice fat crease right across the center of the card and surface scratches out the wazoo...

I then noticed he was getting a ton of negative feedbacks all at once and started contacting others who'd dealt with him..Some had similar stories as mine..Some had payed and got nothing at all..He then changed his id a week or 2 later and started over again..I tracked him through id changes for a long time so I could avoid dealing with him..But after a while lost him...Sorry to here he's still dealing

yeah that post office thing sucks man... I recently lost a money order and cant do anything for 30 days. Well my wife lost a money order Sucks

I have already talked to one of his "references" that he keeps mentioning, they say they've talked to him but never traded with him. Hmmmm...

This is just another reminder, I know we say it alot, to not take references at face value, to actually check them out. I dropped the ball big time here by not checking this scammer out.

Well cards do get lost in the mail...Seems like more than ever right now. I have had a package a couple of weeks ago that was lost in the mail. In the end I ended up sending his cards back, but cards to get lost occasionally. This guy sounds fishy though so it seems like he's just trying to get some free cards

WELL I'M NOT TAKING SIDES BUT I HAVE MADE SIX SUCCESSFUL TRADES WITH PLANTE23 AND THE SAME WITH UWFTKE26. I HAVE TO SAY THAT THEY ARE BOTH TWO VERY GOOD TRADERS AND THAT IF SOMETHING LIKE THIS DOES COME UP THEN YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE SOME PATIENCE AND WAIT... I appreciate everyone's support...smoothshooter said it best, all I ask is that the guy give same time leeway that the post office requires, and he freaks out and starts spreading lies about me all over the Net.

i have traded with PLANTE23 Plenty of times all times went good.Yeah Cards do get mixed up in the mail i made a trade a about 2 months ago and sent at same time took me a month to get my cards on the reciept of postage the date on it was the dayy we agreed to send.
