    What, no mint marks! How bored did you say you were?

    The more qualities observed in a coin, the more desirable that coin becomes!

  • When you have enough cash to search rolls frequently, you can do this;

    '38-'60, about $250 face.

  • MercLovin, that's pretty sweet! I plan on doing that! Now I wanna look through all those nickelsimage
  • They're unsearched for varieties and whatnot. No war nicks in there, though, all those are put aside, about three rolls or so... there's also several rolls of these coins I've pulled... mostly found at the same time from hoards that were cashed in, I'd imagine.

    image

    I've only been at it about a year and a half, roughly 120 boxes of nickels.
  • Do plan on going through them for varieties? That's pretty darn sweet!image Is the whole roll like that '48?

    I will eventually someday... rainy day or when I retire or something, haha.... fourty years away, bah. I have about ten rolls of BU nickels I've found in circulation, dates ranging from '42 (Non-silver) to '69. Should probably put a dansco together one of these days.

    Other interesting finds;

    A box with 46 V-Nicks.
    Two boxes with a combined 30 Buffalo nickels.
    A '25 in high AU... my nicest Buffalo.

    Nickels are a lot of fun to search. image

    haha, sounds like a good rainy day project! I have yet to find any BU's, and I plan on getting each date for every Jefferson nickel but only from circulation or from roll searching!image

    And you found those as in roll searching or from circulation!?
  • The toe nails in the 2nd pic is a nice touch.

    Roll searching... which I consider circulation because that's where they would have ended up.

    Too lazy to crop it out. At least they're trimmed and clean.
