Been seeing that pretty often on EBay lately as one in an auction venue and the other is in the sellers EBay store.

I think it's frowned on but allowed. Ha...look who the seller is. Bob plays by his own rules.

Be kinda funny if the auction goes for more than the BIN.

Still, I don't get the point. You can have a BIN with an auction, can't you?

I don't get "frowned upon". It seems obviously deceptive and wrong to me. Hopefully that's against the rules.

    Ending an auction early
It doesn't specifically say you can't have a unique item listed twice (that I could find), but the valid reasons for cancelling an auction do not include "I made more money selling it in another auction".

Lance, I think the BIN goes away with the first bid. That's why you would do something like this.

He recently took out a large ad in CoinWorld touting his eBay sales and his great feedback.
I checked his feedback and, based on that, he seems to be a person I wouldn't care to do business with.

He has some nice coins... but his feedback leaves a little to be desired.

He does this frequently. I made a thread about this exact topic and seller a few weeks ago. Would be funny if both auctions ended within a few minutes apart and the seller has to explain to one buyer that they aren't getting the coin.

No, not always. I should know the answer to this. The BIN does go away at some point but not simply with a bid. Tried it today on an auction that didn't meet the reserve. BIN was still there.

Whatever. Neyronix sometimes has nice stuff. Problem is, it is well known he uses shills so it's hard to get the deal you hope for. Some folks don't care. It's part of the game. I don't like it so I no longer bid on his stuff.

Ah, that's right. Forgot about reserve auction.
