We should invite him to the forum; he's obviously a gold bug.

    Ben Ali?

I thought this was going to be a thread about Ben Bernanke teaming up with the knockout power of Muhammad Ali to form an unbeatable monetary policy team......Ben Ali.

If that team doesn't pan out the next one in line is Ben Bernanke and JPM's Blythe Masters......Ben Her.

  • I wonder if he had to go through a TSA pat down?

He is currently a guest of Saudi Arabia.

His corrupt family members are still in France, but are
    facing fast deportation.

He has MUCH more in assets than the 1.5 tons of AU.
ALL stolen from the IMF/WB and USA taxpayers.

When Ferdinand and Imelda fled the Philippines in 1986 after looting the country for 20 years, they reportedly filled two 747s with gold bullion that was said to have been stashed in the Cayman Islands, at least initially. This was aside from the supposed $15 billion they had secreted in Swiss banks. Arranging for getting the gold bullion, jewelry, and other high value items out took most of their time and effort in the last days of their dictatorship, and that's why Imelda left behind such things as her extra 3000 pairs of size 8 imported Italian designer shoes.

So, if you get one of those letters from a Saudi Prince and he wants to fence some gold through you and he will front the gold...might be worth a second look.

No. I'd tell him to just sell it on the BST.image

The press always wonders. They still wonder how Diem came to be killed.
What I think is interesting about this story is how Ali, even under the threat of the moment, was sufficiently interested in archaelogy to ensure that 1.5 tons of artifacts left with him. After all, we all agree that gold is an archaic artifact of a long-defunct era, don't we?
Many, many perfect transactions with other members. Ask please.

I bet those things stuck in the engine really cut down on the mileage!
