I have a second kid coming any day now, so that is going to be my new hobby for a while.
I used to play Disk Golf (Frisbee Golf aka poor man's golf) but haven't had the time to get out lately.
I'm also the Activities Director as the high school I work at, so I'm always at different sporting events and school events.

Hookers and coke; however, I'm trying to quit at least one of them.

Just booked SB weekend at Bally's the other day. I think I chose the wrong time to quit.

I enjoy sex...but when the wife doesn't make that available, I'm working my way through AcclaimedMusic.net's top 3000 albums of all time and their sister site, www.theyshootpictures.com's top 1000 films of all time. I also do a weekly sports talk podcast that you all may enjoy. Will PM you link if you'd like to check it out but won't post here. Feels like SPAM.

i spend a lotta time in the yard minding a large cactus garden and what has developed into a moderate orchard with several different fruit and nut trees as well as a spring & summer vegetable garden....this Mrs. and i have taken great pleasure in cultivating our own food and preserves for ourselves and our pets.

i also have a passion for board shorts, tradewinds & tropical sunsets, watching whales migrate, kicking inflatable orbs along the beach and dining on a local's fresh catch while listening to slack guitars.

I am a dynamic figure, often seen scaling walls and crushing ice. I have been known to remodel train stations on my lunch breaks, making them more efficient in the area of heat retention. I translate ethnic slurs for Cuban refugees. I write award winning operas. Occasionally, I tread water for 3 days in a row. I woo women with my senuous and godlike trombone playing, I can pilot bicycles up severe inclines with unflagging speed and I cook 30 minute brownies in 20 minutes. I am an expert in stucco, a veteran in love, and an outlaw in Peru. Using only a hoe and a large glass of water,, I once defended a small village in the Amazon Basin from a horde of ferocious army ants. I play bluegrass cello and was scouted by the Mets. I am the subject of numerous documentaries. On Wednesdays after work, I repair electrical appliances free of charge. I am an abstract artist, a concrete analyst and a ruthless bookie. Critics worldwide swoon over my original line of courduroy evening wear. I don't perspire. i am a private citizen yet I receive fan mail. I have been caller number 9 and have won the weekend passes. The laws of physics do not apply to me. I balance, weave, dodge and frolic and my bills are paid for. Years ago I discovered the meaning of life but forgot to write it down. I breed prizewinning clams and have won bull fights in San Juan, cliff diving competitions in Sri Lanka and spelling bees at the Kremlin. I have played Hamlet, performed open heart surgery and have spoken with Elvis.

I'm a stay at home dad with a 2 year old and 5 month old, so I don't have much free time. When I do get free time, it's spent working out or reading either sci fi or history books.

Having a wife and 2 little ones (2 & 5) occupies most of my time, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

I've been taking my son every couple of weeks and doing some trout fishing. For the first time my 5 year old was actually bringing in his lure on the retrieve and caught a nice 1 1/2 lb Rainbow. He ended up catching 2 more in an hour, which I thought was awesome. So that's been fun. At this point my son seems very interested as long as I keep the trips to 2 to 3 hours max...Luckily I have a lake and the Pacific Ocean within 3 miles of my place. image

Getting ready to sign my son up for t-ball for the first time. Can't wait for that. I'd love to be a coach, but there is no way because of my job as I never know where and when I'm off work. image

Also enjoy watching baseball, football, and basketball. I try to really limit that and rarely watch an entire game.

Would live to pick up another road bike and go cycling again. Used to love heading out at 6am and cruising across the hills in the south bay. Not too often you can see the ocean on your right and snow in the local mountains on your left.

We love heading to the beach, mountains, and the local Aquarium in Long Beach.

Being that close in age they have got to be a handful. My oldest is 9 and the youngest is almost 15 months so while the oldest is in school I try and keep up with the little one but he's non-stop action. Also not a lot of free time except during his nap time and nights when all is settled here.

Had been teaching myself how to play electric guitar but that got put on the back burner a bit. Pick it up here and there trying to keep my fingers working.
Working out? Well I guess cutting/splitting/stacking firewood in the spring time covers that. Of course all winter I'm moving it from where it's stored to the wood stove and shoveling the white mess so although I'm not in the best of shape I get a work out most all year long.

Being a stay at home Dad isn't for everyone but we're happy and it works for us. So a big image to you and all the other stay at home parents.

The details of my life are quite inconsequential... very well, where do I begin? My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds- pretty standard really. At the age of twelve I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my testicles. There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum... it's breathtaking- I highly suggest you try it! image

been building an N scale train layout over the last 2 months or so. Been loads of fun so far. Not very big - only 3 feet by 5 1/2 feet but N scale is so small, there's a ton that can be done in that space.

The best part is that I have no idea whatsoever what I'm doing. Just always been fascinated with train sets so I figured I'd give it a shot

  • My collecting passion has moved from cards to autographs, both sports and entertainment. I recently picked up an US Weekly cover signed by the entire cast Friends, which my wife and I watched non-stop when we were dating. I'm going to have it framed up and surprise her for Valentine's Day. Here's what it looks like unframed:

    image

My newest passion is mixed-martial arts, more commonly known as the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). I went to my first fight about 5 years ago and have been hooked ever since. Living in Vegas, I'm able to attend 2-3 events a year and lots of local fighter signings. I've also managed to get my wife into the sport, so it's something we can enjoy together.

Funny you say that. I just bought a brand new Lionel O scale New York Central Flyer for the kids for xmas. Unfortunately I got a lemon set so it is in process of being replaced. I have no clue what I am doing either. I am working on a 4'X8' space. I am thinking about adding levels and tunnels. I would love to add a helix but I doubt I have enough room to do it.

On the many antiquing trips my wife and I have made, I've got a good start on a Zane Grey first-edition run. I'm getting pickier now as I try to find the books with the original dust jackets on them. It's a colorful collection!

Here's a shot of the old English bookshelf I bought a month or two ago to preserve and display them in. It has a photo of Mark Twain to the left on top I also picked up recently. I've also got a lot of Twain's books and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's books in this collection, too. I plan on doing a lot of reading in my retirement -- which hopefully will be within five years or so.
    image

    image

I've got two early Zane Grey's entitled "The Young Pitcher" (1911; first of two red books in the middle) and "The Redheaded Outfield" (1920; second book from the right).

I don't want to wish my life away, but c'mon retirement!! imageimage
