Morning,
My link to CBT has been hyjacked or something! Even when I try and go to the site through a search I get some sort of site selling Office Supply's. Is this just my problem?
Thanks
Neil

<< <i>Well the board just celbrated its 1st anniversary, I can only assume the registration was not updated yet >>
It's my fault. When I changed hosting companies last Feb, I assumed that I had till Feb to reup my domain.
Somebody else picked up the name so I had to go with cardboardtalk.net

I still can't get there even with the CBT.net. Doesn't even come up in Bing search or anything. What am I doing wrong?

Google, Yahoo or Bing search won't pick it up for a little while...might be a few days or a few weeks, not sure, but it won't take too long.
You'll have to type in, or copy & paste www.cardboardtalk.net into the Internet Explorer or Firefox browser - whichever you use.
Got it!!

I figured that it might have been someone who was bammed from the site trying to get some revenge.

That would suggest that they had a credit card and $10.00 or so to secure the domain name. A far stretch for some that have been booted, I would venture.
I click on "LOG ME ON AUTOMATICALLY EACH VISIT" but it's not working.

NAH, there are companies that do nothing more than watch for expiring registrations (don't ask how they get THAT data-it requires the registrars to be in cahoots) and pounce on any high traffic ones that lapse. They will be happy to $ell it back, but they often let them go for nothing if they don't get an offer. The registration system has a loophole that lets people park and then back out, so this allows these squatters to float trial balloons past desperate folks who slip up and not invest much money. Just keep an eye on it, and I bet you can get it back in the next few weeks.

Dave ... same thing here ... Matt said to clear your history and clear cookies and it should work like it used to. I tried but it did not for me ... I still have to log in each time ... however, it only takes a few seconds ... sure, it's a PITA, but no too bad.

OK, I was just wondering what was wrong. I'll try it when I have time.
Thanks again,
Dave

(11:22:34 AM) Ricky Mo: I am testing this in two different browsers right now. Have opened it multiple times via tab and have posted a two threads on two different forum sections with replys. Nothing appears to be logging me out. SInce it is multiple users having the issue the best next thing to do is get the browser they are using including the operating system they are running on. From there I recommend a flush dns and if you are still having issues with them submit a ticket to support@hostgator.com to see if they can advice you on anything further as they may be able to see a few more things we cannot.
(11:27:52 AM) matt: what exactly is a flush dns?
(11:29:36 AM) Ricky Mo: Since you made a change from .com to .net their dns may still be seeing .com as some computers keep dns entries inside them for up to 30 days. ON windows they can hit windows key + r enter cmd into the prompt and hit enter. Then in the new window that comes up enter ipconfig /flushdns
