Some Cards I discovered While Lookin for Coins.

Maybe someone here might be interested in these. While looking for coins I found some 1962 Topps proofs. They are greenish in color. I hope I am not steppimg on anyone's private source by posting the location. Found them at gotja collectibles, or gotja coins. When there type in topps under search and they have maybe 25 cards. Hope this helps someone and offends no one.

They are interesting but I don't remember any of them selling for any kind of big money.

<< <i>Hmmm. I love the '62 Topps set and wouldn't mind owning one of these proofs. I'm not sure if the prices are reasonable or not. >>
IMO not even close to reasonable, SCD has them valued at about $7 each. >>
Thanks for the heads up. I was going to some research and maybe make an offer on one of them, but not if the prices prove to be that low.
Thanks again...
<< <i>I didn't know if the prices were in range and I have no connection to the store except for having ordered a couple of coins from them. I just posted this hoping it might help someone. I found them by sheer luck alone. >>
Hey, Ron,
I appreciate the heads-up on these cards. I've never seen nor looked for them before. They're on my radar now!
<< <i>I don't get it? You were combing the beach with your fancy metal detector looking for coins to show your coin friends and you found a box of baseball cards? >>
I was looking for the District of Columbia State Quarters and ran upon this site. Somewhere or the other on the site it mentioned ball cards they had bought. I couldn't find them and typed in topps and there they were. Having no interest myself I thought someone here might want them or be interested. I just bought some cards from the BST and PM'ed the person I bought from and asked if I should or shouldn't post the store location to the Forum. My main concern was stepping on someone's feet by outing their private source for the cards. He said go for it. I have in years past been a card collector and got away from cards in 91 and went back to coins. I am still interested in cards and visit here often and post something on occassion.
I did buy a P and D of the DC quarter in PCGS MS-66 from this site.

<< <i>I'd just like to see the coins.
Here is the Philadelphia one. I will be glad to post a picture of the Denver one if you would like yo see it also.
I Mailed a check off this morning, Monday, to pay for them. First time I have ever done business with this company.

What this guy is offering is color proofs, as mentioned. Those prices are probably not out of line for the single-player collector.
<< <i>FWIW, this type of proof card IS NOT listed in SCD, presuming you're refering to the Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards.

You are correct, after rereading the description for 1962 Topps, the prices listed are for the basic set and the green tinted cards are not priced, my earlier post is incorrect and I do not have a value for these cards.
