Counterfeit Seated Liberty Half Help

I found a counterfeit 1876 Seated Liberty Half in a roll this month. I don't know much about counterfeits so I was wondering if it's possible to tell if it is a newer of vintage fake and if it's foreign or domestic. Here are some pictures

The coin weighs about 8.3 grams. Size and thickness look about right. Any information would be appreciated.

    Interesting roll find!
I'm guessing it's a contemporary counterfeit, meant to circulate at FV, crudely struck in pot metal (whatever that is) - but this is strictly a guess based on appearance on my part. Lots of other sharper knives in this forum drawer should comment.

I also believe that it is probably a contemporary counterfeit. Interesting, but not terribly valuable, worth more than face value, for sure.

I agree with those above. If it were modern it would be better.

In my opinion, it's probably worth $30 to $60 to a Seated half collector who is interested in contemporary counterfeits.

Thanks for the information everyone. I hadn't thought about it being worth anything, nice to know it's worth more than the 50 cents it cost me.
