That is an absolute jaw dropper. What's a coin like that sell for?

Northeast has it listed at 16,500.00 bucks...... says it is exceedingly rare in proof. Even if I had the money I would NOT pay some of their prices.... most of them make me chuckle..

The price may seem high, but good luck trying to find another one.

NEN is usually very willing to negotiate the price of a coin, even coins that aren't underlined. Just don't expect to get as much a discount.

    Beautiful obverse design.

I love the use of wheat ears as rays. Absolutely fantastic design element. No fields at all on this obverse, yet it remains striking and uncluttered. Whoever designed this really understood visual design. Your eyes are repeatedly drawn back to the center of the obverse, but there is no jarring or overpowering sensation. I'm kind of amazed I've never seen this before.

Krause shows the proof mintage at 100 pieces. Certainly well out of my real world range, but now thanks to you Weiss it's on my "Lottery List." Heh.

Beautiful coin and a tough one to find in gem condition, let alone a proof.
