What are the Pros and Cons of the PCGS Multi-Coin Holders?

I've seen them with the Presidental dollars, Lincoln Legacy set, Statehood quarters, etc. I just saw a 2007 Clad Proof set listed on eBay in a Multi-coin holder.

I think any multi holder is fine unless your looking to sell the coins afterward... then separate holders would be the way to go IMHO.

I inquired a couple of months back, here is the reply from CS...

Hello,

Multi-coin holders are only available through an authorized dealer submitting through our bulk service. I believe they have to be certain types of coins as well and am not sure yours would qualify.

Yep...dealers and bulk....been that way.

Pros - presentation and storage.
Cons - potential sale issue, storage issue, and treating more as inventory or collectible vs presentation. Also, value up, or down, of a particular issue may, or may not, affect the multi-slab

I have some, of the ngc type, for presentation purposes for my son (prez bucks) and treat these more as a novelty than I do part of our collection.

Additional reasons for anguish when contemplating cracking out?

Only thing I can think of Pro would be for bullion investment coins.
Label normally gives attenuation and larger amounts to the unit.
