Nice card, though I would strongly suggest doing homework before placing a bid. Not saying you were too high or low, just sayin....

    HOFautos,

That's a nice one. I remember there used to be another member on here that was always looking for a nice one of those and had trouble finding one with good eye appeal. I don't remember their ID though.

It's a nicer 5 than any 5 that has ever been on ebay, and nicer than just about any 6 I have seen either.

It was probably me (grin)....I have upgraded my jackie about 6 times, and it is next to impossible to find one that is both centered and "relatively" clean, without spending $10K+
  • VCP average for a PSA 5 is $800 and $1247 for a PSA 6. This particular card has tremendous eye appeal and looks better than many sevens or even eights that I have seen. Both SGC and PSA seem to give this card a pass when it comes to registration as I've seen numerous 8's and 88's that looked so out of focus you would get dizzy just looking at them, while this card's registration is dead on. The price may seem crazy to many but it didn't surprise me at all.

  • Levi's card doesn't look very good beside prewars.

The seller, PWCC, not only has a huge following, but also always has some of the best looking graded cards on eBay IMO.

A buddy of mine frequently consigns with PWCC and higher than expected prices are almost always obtained.

That 5 is prolly the nicest 5 you will ever see.

4 naturally touched corners, perfect centering etc.

    Good for you.

what if levi's scan was cleaned up as much as pwc's? would there be that much of a difference?

Huge differences in centering and what I term "staining" (don't know if people would use that word to describe the extraneous type stuff on Levi's card on the top portion). Plus, Levi's card has an annoying white spot in the bottom black portion where the name is.

I don't know if PWC's scan is enhanced but unless it's fraudently enhanced with removal of elements, then their 5 is much nicer than that one offered by Levi.

I think so, centering and marks on the front. But I also think prewars scan looks like it's been enhanced.

EDIT TO ADD: It took me a long time to reply, didn't see navs post. image
