The same aunt of my wife's who had the Yankee photos in her scrapbook had the following items of her husband's. Uncle Gene was a big athletic booster at Colorado State College (CSU is my alma mater) and hobnobbed with anything to do with the CSU booster clubs. Below are images of a letter from Phog to Gene and then a photo and bio of Phog that I "cut" from an accompanying newspaper article.
