Grade Me Please: 1886-P Morgan Dollar (Number 1)----UPDATED with Grade

Edit: Posted the obverse of the coin with the label showing. The coin does have booming luster, which always gets left out on a scan.

    Clean coin and a decent strike. The luster seems impaired, but that may just be because of the scan. MS65 easy, likely higher if the luster is really there.

    Looks ultra clean. 67? (....but the reverse strike looks weak on the breast feathers...unless that's a smudge on the slab?)

    Hard to tell considering coin was scanned, but from contact marks I would say MS66

    I did not look up the VAM, but there is a partial N on the obverse.

    Thanks for the attribution. I went to VAMworld and looked at the diagnostics for the various clashed coins and agree with your designation. My other two of these are the same variety. image
