plans to build on civil war site. this attempt should be blocked.

    I saw this on the news and I have a feeling that Wal Mart will not end up building there. Once the news is out (hopefully more news outlets will run the story also), the pressure will be very high on them to move their location. Just my line of thinking.

    I haven't read about the Civil War site you are referring to but here in South they build on historic sites all the time. Of course these aren't major battle sites. Most are forts, encampments and skirmish sites. I guess if they were to make a park at all the sites with CW history we wouldn't have anywhere to live. I hate to see these places lost but there isn't much we can do.

    The Wilderness battlefield in Orange County Va IIRC. It would be a good pr move for walmart to leave this one alone.
