Guess the Grade - Half Dime

What did PCGS grade this coin? What is your grade? Longacre, does it sticker?

This coin has a lot of eye-appeal. Depending on the amount of lustre (which generally can't be determined by a photograph), I could see it in a holder from 65 to 67.

Mark did a great job capturing the color of the reverse. It's an excercise in futility trying to grade from pics, but if I were to guess I'd say MS64 as well.

AU55, but probably graded as mint state. Probably cleaned at one time but now market acceptable due to the attractive retoning over a long period.

63 by the scratches on the cheek--but they probably gave it a 66 because of the colors.

PCGS graded is 62 and I grade it 64 (+1 for ownership). 63 is probably the "correct" grade.

the reverse die used for that coin had some chips of metal fall out.

"die chip" is the common term

that's a beauty!

Stunning 1831 LM6. The reverse toning (and awesome photo) really makes the double filled S2, semi filled N1, die clashing and die cracks (left wingtip to rim, top of A2 to rim, side of A3 to arrow head) stand out. Congratulations on one heck of a coin.
