Cubs Back to Back No-Hitters?

Lilly has a no-hitter thru 6 innings. Has there ever been back to back no-hitters?
Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all "right-thinking" people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.

This is known as “bad luck.”

Back in 1968, Ray Washburn of the Cardinals no-hit the Giants the day after Gaylord Perry of the Giants no-hit the Cardinals.

Back in 1981, the day after Nolan Ryan pitched his 5th no-hitter against the Dodgers, Don Sutton took a no-hitter into the 7th against the Dodgers. As far as I know, that's the closest anyone has come.

Not sure if 2 team mates ever had back to back no hitters, but a fellow named johnny vander meer had two no hitters in back to back starts in the 30's.

I do recall a day when the first game of a double header was a no hitter and then the night cap the team that was no hit earlier
thier pitcher threw a no no. In the late 60's if I recall.

    Best I can offer.

    Good for you.

Maybe I am wrong about that as I did a google and this is the best i came up with:

Multiple no-hitters have been thrown on the same day twice: Ted Breitenstein and Jim Hughes on April 22, 1898; and Dave Stewart and Fernando Valenzuela on June 29, 1990.

So if wilki is correct then I was dreaming.

    wouldn't be the first time.

No problemo, if you quit dreaming you die.
