  • I've been looking it over for a few days. Many of the coins from the Dr. Patrick Tan Collection are pretty fricken nice. Some of the Russian medals look like they could have only come out of a museum. I bid on about 40 lots this evening but don't expect to win more then a few. The coins I like are the ones everyone else likes too.
  • Received both the World and the Medals and Tokens catalogs. Plan on participating via
the HA-LIVE feed. I tried it last year on the Medals and Tokens and others and had
a blast. Its almost like being there when you use the audio feed also. Gets going
really fast at times and i've missed a few bids because of and also miss bid twice but
fortunately someone wanted it more than I, was I... glad.

  • Any one plan on using the HA-Live this time round?

If you have already, how did you like the experience?

Like the catalog, but arrived Shanghai last night and the connection would not be fast enough for HA ive so I'm going to put some bids in tonoght or tomorrow.

They don't send me their catalogs any more. I've probably saved tons of money since they stopped.

I just got some Heritage emails about Darkside wantlist hits for the first time I can remember.

Because Victoria India is on my wantlist, a pretty awesome Victorian rupee brockage was one of the hits.

I only need 1901 coins, though, and I have a 1901 rupee (the date is not on that brockage).

There were some 1901 Straits Settlements pieces I needed, but they had some quality issues and were part of multiple-coin lots.

I won't be bidding Darkside this time around. I have a ridiculous bid out on one Liteside piece, though.

I would tell you what it was, but then I'd have to kill you and conceal your body somewhere. image

I guess I don't get the catalogues anymore.

I wasn't overly impressed with the minors offerings in the British category. There is a nice 1848 florin pattern that I wish I had the spare cash to get.

  • I got the catalogue, and am pleased to say that it arrived before the auction ended! The last few catalogues arrived about a week too late. Nice catalogue, and nice coins.

I got the catalogs (I don't know why) but I'm feeling uninterested this time around. Goldbergs has something I want but I'm debating as it would mean raiding my 'good-gravy-the-family-computer-is-6-yrs-old-and-we-need-a-new-one-fund'. Hmmm, decisions, after all, I have my own laptop.....

I feel that Goldberg's catalog deserves alittle attention as well... very well done
