    Killing the Padres? It was a 2-1 game! Methinks it was simply time for the Sillies to finally win a game and for him to FINALLY
    get a win! He after all went 7 or 8 straight games without a decision! If the next Ted Williams and the Rob Deer clone Sillies can't
    score more then 2 runs against the lowly Padres it is going to be a long and I mean long winter in Philly.

    It's quite funny to hear these Sillies fans harping about strength of schedule when they play in the SAME division as the Mets and play the SAME schedule. In fact, the Sillies have played more games thus far against weaker opponents, and they're still chasing the Mets.

    Lets' see how the Sillies do the last month when they finally start playing some decent ballclubs. My guess is they will be looking up at NY AND Fla by season's end, LOL!!

    Considering the history making, unforgettable, monumental, catastropic collapse of the Pets last season when they had a big lead, Pets fans should be worried as heck right now with just a slim lead.

    On the contrary, the Mets will thrive with a slimmer lead and keep their edge up throughout these final weeks. They had such a big lead last season, they let their guard down till it was too late. This year is a totally different sory, and Manuel is a far better field manager than Randolph was, too.
