1956 MANTLE PSA 8 "WHITE BACK" anyone?

Has anyone ever seen this card in this grade? I wonder truly how rare this card is in high grade. I've never seen one for sale. Does anybody know of one? I'm a huge Mantle collector, but have never owned one of these in nice shape.
Thanks,

From 1 thru 100 the gray backs are rare.
I think anyway.

<< <i>I still don't know why psa doesn't list on the holder what color the back is. The white is so much more rare I think. >>
when psa went to the .5 scale they began labeling white and grey back variations.
I have posted a 56 Mantle that I currently have.
I would appreciate feedback as to what color it is.
Thanks in advance.

your scan is small and it's tough to tell. it looks like a white back from what I can see. sometimes the white backs are off color but the grey backs hold their color much better.
<< <i>I can't tell the difference between gray back and white back.

Too small to tell from the scan...
Here is an auction of a White Back.

That is a white back for sure. Welcome to posting on the forum.
the white back example posted for 707's listing looks like a grey back. maybe Levi got his 100's of 56' Mick's mixed up and scanned the wrong reverse

I was just wondering if I should send it back to PSA and have them reslab it to add "white back" to the label.

<< <i>wow..that one card doesn't look like any of the white back 1956's I own!! I wonder if PSA got the flip wrong? >>
You're right it looks more gray back then white. Maybe wrong flip or wrong back scan...

if you plan to sell then I would as the Mantle in a WB commands a premium.
