Why do you like Maryland's Quarter? I think it's one of the more disappointing designs and I live in Maryland. One of the proposed designs for Maryland was Kort Mc Henry with the "Star Spangled Banner" and "bombs bursting in air". The selected design looks like an inverted ice cream cone with the ice cream having fallen out.

RACC I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom I provide, then question the manner in which I provide it. I prefer you said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand to post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to!
Mine, Nevada, is the worst. They have the sun rising over the Sierras (west of Nevada). The have the wild mustang that is not native to this state and does more damage than good. I think a blank side for NV would have been better.

PS: I like the simple Washington State quarter with the King salmon.

Alaska... Regarding the clad and silver proof 5 coin set: since this is the last (?) set in the series, when do you think the mint will stop selling these? I've noticed that these sets seem to be selling well compared to last years set. I think the silver set sold around 440k last year, and already have sold just over 300k for the '08 set. Would the mint stop selling the 5 coin set early knowing that it will still be available in the full silver proof set?
I believe thousands of the '08 sets will be sold to international tourist in Hawaii and will not come back to the U.S.
