Me too but with a ship date of 8/13 ?
I kinda wonder whats up with that?
The name is LEE!
I guess the $4.95 is worth avoiding the hassle of getting these through security at the airport anyway!

I also ordered one of those proof silver eagle commemoratives, as I sort of dig the coin with the giant flying bird on it. A simple, striking design with lots of mirror. Not cheap. Oh, yeah, I also ordered one of those ugly chicklet proof halves. And for once, I did not order gold. The third coin of the set does not move me. *resist*
After getting a buffalo proof set today, and the news about the 2009 saint replica...i'm all jazzed about mint cr@p right now!

It says the coins in the unc set are struck diffently from the normal business strikes. Has this always been the case ?
edit to add quote from the mint site:
"Uncirculated coins are struck on special presses using greater force than circulating coins, producing a sharp, intricately detailed image"

<< <i>I believe this is the 'Satin Finish' process. It started a year or 2 ago. >>
Yep, first year was 2005 and all sets since have been "satin finish". Business strike mint sets were last done in 2004.
ME TOO! ! ! It would have been great if they they had given the same level of attention to the business strike mint set that is bestowed on the satins.

such a pessimist. i am glad i am not the only one.
i guess by a good deal you at least get almost 14 dollars face value and some cardboard for
their selling price of 23 dollars plus shipping.
i guess they could find a rube willing to pay 30 maybe ;-)
satin finish does not interest me in the least. I also find the majority of the
coins in the set as unappealing.
