Yeah...that's a very nice nime ... or would that be a dickle?

    Edited to add...

No offense to the seller, but when did the prices jump THAT much?!? Seriously, I think $5,000 is rather optimistic...after all they are not THAT rare.

    Edited to add...once again...

My mistake, I was confusing the price and rarity of a nickel on a cent...mea culpa

I have to admit, I avoid auctions like that. I did however do one myself once, but at least my price for said coin was in the ballpark.

I was just wondering how much you are selling them for, maybe I could pick up a few more if they are that common.

Sorry...none for sale as I am not a dealer. Check with some of the major error dealers and you will find that they are much less than $5000...unless the market took a drastic upswing in the past few months. BTW..."not that rare" does not equal "that common." Sorry if my comments offended you.

Error market has been on a upswing in the last 6-8 months... just like the rest.

I have not seen a 15c double denomination listed anywhere or at auction as I recall in the last year.

This is a very dramatic coin to boot... just my 2 cents. image

Okay, then maybe I am completely wrong about pricing this piece - and it would not be the first time. Best of luck to the seller.

I am not sure what you collect but I only collect Jefferson nickel errors and I have only seem 2 pieces in the last 8 years for sale but I have heard of a few more pieces around. The 15c is tougher than the 30c and a lot tougher than the 6c and you don't even see a lot 6c's around anymore. Even on a 6c, with this kind of details, it would cost you $1000+

Ah...thanks and that's where I must be confused. I must have been thinking about a nickel on a cent as those I remember in the $1000-2000 range. Thanks for the clarification (and thanks to Broadstruck as well).
