Of course, just fun, speculation.
Think of opportunities topps had to make the following cards.
and how popular they would have been
1968 red sox team card
1968 yankees team card
1972 Topps traded Lyle
1969 maris
1969 ellie howard
perhaps combo card of above two w.s friends
think of some others
does anybody have that link wherwe they show cards that "might have been" e.g. 67 koufax, etc.
In the USA all men are created equal but some are more equal than others....

Oooh. The Holy Relic inserts that might have been. Better keep the folks at Topps away from the Shroud of Turin.
<< <i>I really, really, REALLY would have loved to have seen a 1955 Bowman Otto Graham. That would have been a fantastic card IMO. Graham had retired, but decided to comeback after Paul Brown "begged" him to return for one final season. He came back to the team after training camp ended, so Bowman must have printed prior to him coming back to the team. He came back and led the Browns to the 1955 NFL championship...his 10th championship game in 10 years. >>
Ryan how about a 1952 Bowman Marion Motley? I believe he was serving the armed forces that year? I would have LOVED to see that design!
Two other cards that leave me heartbroken that were never produced were 1953 Bowman Color Willie Mays and Jackie Robinson as well..

AHH a 52 Bowman Motley! A 52 LARGE wouldn't have been large enough for Motley!

<< <i>How about a 53 or 54 Bowman Tom Landry >>
I would have to agree!
I would have liked to see a 1977 Hank Aaron.
<< <i>Personally, I would have liked the 1977 Reggie Jackson to have had him in an Oriole uniform, but that's just me.... >>
Actually, a proof does exist of Reggie in an Orioles uniform. I've never seen a copy of the actually card, but there is a photo of it in the Beckett Price Guide.
Proably would fetch six figures at auction if it ever was put up for sale....

Great cards; I particular love all those Splinters...especially the '57 with Mickey, and the '59 All Star

Hey Keith, those are outstanding cards. I checked the 67 Ryan on Topps site but I like yours better.
keeping my ears open for oddball cards of Rose from the 60's and 70's.
