A few offerings. Prices include Insured shipping within the USA. PayPal accepted. 3-Day return if not satisfied. Thanks for looking. -Preussen

Victoria 1887 Jubilee Crown PCGS MS-64. One of the most difficult coins to photograph that I've ever encountered (these are not my pics). Somewhat darkly toned but with some pretty golden-brown on the obverse and slightly more colorful hues on the reverse. Very lustrous and correctly graded. $275.

Sweden 2Kr 1932, 300th Anniversary - Death of Gustaf II Adolphus, NGC MS-64 (couple of obverse spots) $30
    image

Baden 1871 Kreuzer commemorating victory over France; Extremely scarce "Offenburg" piece. NGC MS-64 BN (small spot & tiny scratch between the R&I in KRIEG are noted for accuracy) Very attractive & lustrous; Seldom offered. $175
    image

Bremen 1871 Victory (over France) Thaler. NGC MS-64. Certainly much nicer than my terrible pics indicate. It's lustrous, but it lacks the booming luster often seen on these pieces; it has the look of having been dipped. Still, quite attractive. $100

    1. 1814-R France-Antwerp 10 Centimes (Siège d'Anvers, Napoléon)[KM-5.3] – PCGS VF35 $125
    image
    image

In early 1814, the War of the Sixth Coalition against Napoleon was coming to an end. The coalition, composed of Austria, Russia, Prussia, the United Kingdom, Sweden, and several German states, had pushed Napoleon from their territories. Afterward, they entered France, eventually taking Paris and forcing Napoleon to surrender. This coin was struck by General Lazare Carnot, who was responsible for the city of Antwerp, an important naval base for Napoleon in the Low Countries. As the coalition entered Belgium in an attempt to liberate it from French rule, they besieged Antwerp. General Carnot, who produced this siege coinage from the cannon of Antwerp’s fortress, tenaciously held on, refusing to surrender despite French losses elsewhere. Only after Napoleon capitulated -- and at the urging of the Count of Artois, later King Charles X -- did Carnot surrender the city.

A friend of mine,a very knowledgeable collector of Greek coins and a scholar, just published a similar research that took him a few years, on the Greek 1831 copper 10 lepta. The minting equipment was so primitive during the short 1828-31 period, that each and every die and their combinations produced a different variety, often visible to the naked eye, so his research is now a book to contain them all.An instant hit and a must for every collector of these coins.

But ,like you, it's the unsollicited appreciation and the inner satisfaction of a well done job that counts and rewards the author, not the number of copies sold or given away.

Thanks, Dimitri. Actually, all things considered it is selling better than I thought it might. So far, the past purchasers have included collectors, dealers, auction houses, grading services, numismatic authors, and curators of numismatic collections.

I'm looking to buy NGC or PCGS MS69 silver britannias of the following dates: 1998, 2003, 2006, 2007, and 2008. I would really appreciate it if someone could locate one or more of those coins for me.

If you have a raw coin that you think has a good shot at the grade, I'll consider it if you can send me good photos of it.
